We are thrilled to announce we are bringing back our popular Winter tying series! We’ve selected 4 classes that focus on the patterns we feel are most relevant to our region’s audience and local fisheries.
- Saturday, Jan 24 – Intro to Fly Tying
- Saturday, Feb 7 – Rogue River Trout Streamers Keith has come up with several very creative AND effective patterns for seasonal trout on the Rogue.
- Saturday, Feb 28 – Winter Steelhead Intruders There is always, always room to refine this pattern. Material choice, fly profile and weight all considered.
- Saturday, March 21 – Steelhead Tibe Flies The Rogue’s great gamefish. Several patterns that are effective in the varied conditions that anglers face throughout the season.
These select classes are designed to be relevant to students at all levels of tying skill. Classes will be limited to 4 students and will run approximately 4 hours so there is plenty of time for Q & A. Materials for the class will be available for purchase individually or as a kit with all required materials included. Once you sign up you will receive an email with a materials list. Vises/tools will be available for use upon request though students are encouraged to bring what they need. All Classes are take place at Ashland Fly Shop on Saturdays from 11-3.
